We had a blast during National Translation Month 2016! Thank you so much to all the authors, translators, and event organizers who made September 2016 such a success.
We close National Translation Month 2016 on a high note: September 30 is celebrated worldwide as International Translation Day with the feast of Saint Jerome, the beloved patron saint of librarians and libraries, schoolchildren, students, Bible scholars, and translators. So raise a glass to translators and their work, as we’ve been doing the entire month!
Stay tuned for more translation news, collaborations, and publishing opportunities we’ll continue to post throughout the year, as we continue to grow. Follow us on Twitter and like us on Facebook. Don’t be a stranger—we’d love to hear from you.
Until next year, we hope you’ll continue to read and share translations and discover your new favorite ones. Maybe they’ll be some of the authors we published here on NTM, or that you heard at one of our readings. If you think of a way you’d like to celebrate NTM in 2017, drop us a line and we’ll be happy to include it in our list for next year.
The world lies open—take time to explore it. And may Saint Jerome watch over you.
